Vintage Red and Yellow Pinwheel Quilt, c1920

Available is a lovely vintage quilt in red, yellow and cream, with a graphic design and excellent hand quilting.

MATERIALS

The quilt is in a pinwheel pattern, with a center pinwheel of solid red, with blocks of tiny yellow printed cotton, set in a warm light yellow cream fabric. Hand quilted in double lines across patches, with turkey track quilting patterns in alternate blocks and a double cable along the border. Bound in matching yellow printed calico, with matching cream backing. Lightweight cotton batting.

CONDITION

Excellent vintage condition. It was recently hand washed by the previous owner. There is a light water stain near the center of the quilt. Otherwise intact without major damage.

Exact age unknown - estimated c1920, based on fabrics and techniques used.
