Antique Meakin Pitcher & Wash Basin Set | English Ironstone Large Vase | Modern Farmhouse

Available is a gorgeous antique ironstone pitcher and wash basin set by J & G Meakin in good antique condition. This set would be a stunning addition to your farmhouse decor to hold seasonal floral arrangements, stacked on an antique pine dresser or wash stand.

The pitcher has an unusually shaped top, ornate thumb rest and handle, and raised design along the sides and bottom. There is one vertical hairline tight stable crack visible on the outside. Crazing throughout. Wear to the base.

The bowl has crazing throughout. Two hairline tight stable cracks along the outer rim. Starburst stable stained crack to base. Wear to interior of bowl. Beautiful raised design along the rim.

Both pieces are stamped J & G Meakin, Hanley, England. The stamp dates the piece to c1890.
